To create a design for a structure with a flat roof follow these steps.
1. On the design tool, start by drawing a roof segment on the ground. To do this, click and open the ‘Roof Segments’ accordion.
2. Select the draw icon on the left hand side - and start drawing the roof . Click the left button on your mouse to create the first point, let go of the left hand button on your mousse and drag the line as far as you would like it. Click the left hand button of your mouse to draw the next point. Do this until you have drawn all four sides.
To complete drawing out the roof top click on the first point you drew.
3. From there open the Roof Segments accordion and select the ‘Segment Labels' tab.
4. Turn ‘Auto Set for Azimuth’ on, select Eave and label the southern most side of the roof segment.
You can also select 'Eave', label the southern most side of the roof segment and manually enter in the azimuth by clicking Roof Segments and entering it in.
5. Open the Run Shading accordion, and click 'Run Shading'.
6. Click the Design accordion, place your panels in your preferred orientation, and click Fill Panels.
7. Scroll down, and click 'Create Proposal'.
