To create an AI solar design and proposal within our software follow these steps:
1. Create a new lead: Go to the lead icon on the left, click '+New Lead' and enter the homeowners’ contact information and address.
2. Populate property details: Click 'create', scroll down to the Prorperty Details and click 'Confirm Home'. Choose your preferred imagery source (Google or Nearmap). When its done loading, enter home type, roof type and roof age.
These are required fields for the design to work. From there click save, then 'Run AI'.
3. Populate utility details: Either choose the rate that was automatically added by OpenEI or choose custom and select the utility provider. From there enter the average monthly bill, average usage or monthly usage (if you have the bill) and click save.
NOTE: To use more accurate utility rates its highly recommend to choose 'custom' and as the provider and select from the dropdown of providers. If a utility provider is not in there, go ahead and enter in the fixed charge and average rate to complete this design/proposal and send a copy of the full bill to one of your company admins so he can populate it into your Installation Settings and ensure its their for you next time.
4. Finalize your design: Click into the design tab. Click 3D to see if the AI ran correctly.
Click measure, optimize and Edge Detection.
Select the 'Shading Analysis' accordion and click 'Run Shading'.
Once done, click the 'Design accordion', select how you would like the panels placed and click 'fill panels'.
Then click 'Create Proposal'.
5. Create your proposal: On Version 1 of our proposal click shading and close the shading report, save and select the dropdown for the Customer Portal and select 'Sales Rep'.
This will take you to homeowners proposal.
