How to Run Shading
Inside the design tool, go to the Shading Analysis accordion and click on the Run Shading icon. This will generate a new shading report based on the current layout.
When to Re-Run Shading
You should re-run shading anytime there’s a physical change to the house structure, including:
Adding or removing a tree
Adding or removing an obstacle
Changes to roof segments (adding, deleting, or modifying)
Adding or removing a detached segment
Running shading ensures the production estimate remains accurate and reflects your latest design.
