Our AI Solar Design tool allows you to add two types of setbacks: General & Edge Label setbacks.
Details on each and how to us this functionality is outlined below.
General Setbacks
To adjust setbacks on a Solar Design, start by clicking on the Design Tab.
To adjust all of the setbacks to the same thing, update the ‘General Setback’ by simply removing the one that is automatically populated from your Installation Settings and type in a general setback you would like to have applied for all setbacks.
Edge Label Setbacks
If you’d like to have a different setback for each type of roof edge, start by clicking on the Roof Segments accordion and review that are AI has labelled each edge accordingly.
If needed make adjustments by selecting the edge label type and clicking on the edge on the image.
Once labelled correctly, go back to the Fire Setbacks accordion. If Edge Labels were programmed into the Installation Settings by your Company Admin they will automatically appear under the ‘Edge Label Setbacks’. If they weren’t, you can go ahead and manually enter (or update) the setbacks.
| NOTE: Company Admins can program default setbacks in the Installation Settings section for both a ‘General Setback’ and ‘Edge Label Setbacks’. |
