1. Go to the Design tab and select the Obstacles accordion
2. Obstacles that our AI detected will appear on the house image when you select the Obstacles accordion. Each obstacle will have a number that coincides with the obstacle details on the right hand side.
3. From here, if you see an obstacle that wasn’t labelled you have the option of adding it either as a point obstacle or a polygon obstacle. Point obstacles are most often used for round shaped obstacles such as satellite dishes. Polygon obstacles are most often used for obstacles with multiple edges such as chimneys, vents, skylights and more.
4. Add either a point obstacle or a polygon obstacle by following these steps:
Adding a Point Obstacle
i. Under the Obstacles accordion select ‘Point’.
ii. From there select the draw icon [] and click on the centre of the obstacle.
iii. Manually update the radius and height of the obstacle on the right hand side.
Adding a Polygon Obstacle
i. Under the Obstacles accordion select ‘Polygon’.
ii. From there select the drawing icon [] . Using the left button on your mousse click where you would like to label the first corner of your obstacle using the left hand button on your mousse. Let go of your mousse and drag the line to the next corner of your obstacle, and click the left button where you would like to add another point. Do this until you’ve labelled all of the edges of your obstacle. To complete labelling the obstacle click again on the first label you created.
iii. Manually update the height of the obstacle on the right hand side.
| NOTE: Because a polygon obstacle does not have a radius, you cannot add one if the obstacle is labelled as a ‘polygon. |
TIP: To draw more accurate polygon obstacles you can also select the Guidelines Short Cut icon [] and select the guidelines 45 degrees [
], guidelines 90 degrees [
] or guidelines 180 degrees [
] and draw your polygon obstacle.
