Outlined below is an outline of what each of the icons in our AI solar design tool do.

Selecting Mode |
Click selecting mode to select existing trees, roof, segments, obstacles, etc. | |

Drawing Mode |
In drawing mode, you can create new obstacles, roof segments, trees, etc. | |
| Editing Mode | Choose Editing mode to resize, relocate, or modify trees, roof sections, obstacles, and other elements in the design. | |
| Removing Mode | Removing mode is used to eliminate trees, roof segments, obstacles, and other elements from the design. | |
| Switch View Mode (3D) | When 3D View is enabled, the digital image is shown in 3D. | |
| Switch View Mode (2D) | When 2D View is enabled, the digital image is shown in 2D. | |
| Google Map | Clicking the Google Map icon opens a new window displaying Google Maps with the home address located. | |
| Magnetization | Magnetization feature subtly helps new line segments start from and connect to existing points. | |
| Zoom In | To enlarge the digital image, left-click the zoom-in icon. | |
| Zoom Out | To reduce the size of the digital image, left-click the zoom-out icon. | |
| Toggle Trees | Click the toggle tree icon to change between a 3D rendered view of the drawn trees and a 2D white circular representation. | |
| Toggle House DSM | Clicking house DSM will activate the Digital Surface Model (DSM), an elevation model of the house. | |
| Toggle DSM | Toggling DSM will activate the Digital Surface Model (DSM) of the surroundings like trees, other house, etc. | |
| Toggle Measurements | When enabled, this will show the measurements of every roof segment. | |
| Guide Lines | This function will guide you to draw roof segments in a precise line and connect you to other roof segment points. | |
| Guide Lines 45° | This function will guide you to draw roof segments in a 45° angle. | |
| Guide Lines 90° | This function will guide you to draw roof segments in a 90° angle. | |
| Guide Lines 180° | This function will guide you to draw roof segments in a 180° angle. | |
| Undo | Clicking Undo will erase the last change you made. | |
| Redo | Clicking Redo will reverses the last action that was undone. | |
| Select/Deselect All | This will allow to select/deselect the roof planes, roof segments, etc. in the design. | |
| Adjust pitch of roof segment | This function can select what pitch you need for the selected roof segment. | |
| Adjust height of roof segment | This function can select what height you need for the selected roof segment. | |
| Increase height of roof segment | This function will increase the height of a roof segment. | |
| Decrease height of roof segment | This function will decrease the height of a roof segment. | |
| Increase pitch of roof segment | This function will increase the pitch of a roof segment. | |
| Decrease pitch of roof segment | This function will decrease the pitch of a roof segment. | |
| Toggle Shading Simulator | Toggle the shading simulator to simulate how the sunlight impacts the shading of the house and how it affects the solar panel performance. | |

Toggle Shading Gradient |
Toggle the shading gradient to check the variation in shading intensity that affects solar panels due to obstacles like trees, buildings, or other structures. | |
| Toggle Fire Setbacks | Click the fire setbacks function to visualize the pathway on the roof for firefighters, installers, etc. and to see where the solar panels must not be placed within. | |
| Fire Setback Selection Mode | Click to select a specific fire setback on the design. | |
| Panel Selection Mode | Panel Selection Mode is used to click and select specific panels on the design. | |
| Toggle Panels | Click Toggle Panels function to show or hide panels on the design tool tab. | |
| Insert New Panel | The Insert New Panel function will let the user add specific number of panels on the design. | |
| Delete Selected Panel | This function will let the user delete specific or selected number of panels on the design. | |
| Rotate Selected Panel | The Rotate Selected Panel function will let the user rotate the panels vertically or horizontally. | |
| Align Selected Panel (Horizontally) | This function will align selected panels to other group of panels horizontally. | |
| Align Selected Panel (Vertically) | This function will align selected panels to other group of panels vertically. | |
| Move Selected Panel | Click this function to move the selected panel to desire location in the design. | |
| Toggle Ground | Click Toggle Ground in the Proposal Tab to show or hide the map location, showing only the main house. | |
| Show All / Selected Panel | Click this function to show or hide selected panels on the Proposal Tab | |
| Select Optimal Panel | This function will let the user select the optimal panels on the Proposal Tab. |
