Installing Third Party Analytics
With Aerialytic Lead Capture 2.0 you can use various third-party analytics tools to track your campaigns. This includes Google Analytics or Facebook Pixels.
In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to install both Google Analytics and a Facebook Pixel.
Google Analytics
To track your campaign performance in Google analytics follow the steps below.
|
NOTE: If you are still on Google Universal Analytics ID we recommend updating to Google Analytics 4 (GA-4). For step-by-step instructions on how to do this, Google has created this guide to help you upgrade. If you prefer to continue using Google Universal Analytics (UA - XXXXX), you can also copy and paste your Tracking Source Code into the Embed Code container under the Analytics tab. To get your Google Universal Analytics tracking code, use this guide. |
Step 1: Login to your Google Analytics account and get your Google Tag ID.
Here is how to find your Google Tag ID in Google Analytics.
Step 2: Login to your Aerialytic portal, select settings and scroll down to Lead Capture
Step 3: From here, click on the campaign that you would like to add your Google tag ID to. To do this click on the Campaign Name.
Step 4: From here scroll down to ‘Configurations’ and click the second tab called ‘Analytics’.
Step 5: Copy and paste your Google Analytics Google Tag ID next to the Google Analytics 4 container and click Update.
| NOTE: To track analytics from each of your campaigns separately, add UTM parameters to your campaign URL. To make this easier, once you have your campaign URL built, use Google’s Campaign URL Builder to add your preferred UTM parameters. |
Facebook/Meta Pixel
To add a Facebook/Meta Pixel to track a campaign you are running on Meta/Facebook follow similar instructions.
| NOTE: Before you begin you will need to set up your Facebook/Meta Ads Manager account and will need to set up a pixel. Here are instructions from Meta on how to do this. |
Step 1: Once you have your Facebook/Meta Pixel login to your Aerialytic portal, select settings and scroll down to Lead Capture.
Step 2: From here, click on the campaign that you would like to add your Facebook/Meta pixel to. To do this click on the Campaign Name.
Step 3: From here scroll down to ‘Configurations’ and click the second tab called ‘Analytics’.
Step 4: Scroll down to Embedded code, copy/paste your code and click ‘Update’.
